Know what to grow.
As a beginner, it is very important to be aware of the different types of herbs you can grow easily. The most popular ones are parsley, basil, coriander and mint. Their seeds are easily available, but it is better to get a parent plant for an herb like mint because the seeds are often different than the ones we are accustomed to. There are a lot of other options like rosemary, oregano and chives, but the utility for them is not as high as the former ones.

Regular care and maintenance.
Plants cannot be planted and left; they need to be nurtured and cared for like any other living thing which is new to the world. Herbs usually need up to 30-35 degree Celsius temperatures and regular sunlight and watering to grow. Over-watering them will result in waterlogging which will kill them, and too much sunlight will also burn the leaves. It will take time to figure out the perfect mix of both, but don’t lose heart!
