Anushka and Virat aren’t the only ones embracing the #GreenWedding trend! If you haven’t heard yet, their wedding invitation cards included an adorable little sapling potted inside, for their guests to nurture and grow. Wedding favours, or any kind of gifts given to the guests at weddings or their preceding ceremonies, are not a new concept in India. Green wedding favours, however, are fast becoming the latest trend of 2018.
Visha Chauhan chose to jump on the green bandwagon and we had the honour of arranging her mehendi favours - in the form of adorable succulent mason jars - one for each guest to take! It started out in January 2018, when Visha decided to do something different. With the wedding approaching in February, she called upon us, her little green helpers, and put us in charge of warming her guests hearts at the mehendi ceremony.
It was an unusual choice, but surely, an innovative one. And as it turned out, a super-successful one! The guests couldn’t have been happier! They were overjoyed to receive a part of nature to take back with them to remember the wedding and the ceremonies. Moreover, it was a terrific decor elements for their homes and offices.
The theme of the mehendi ceremony was #LetLoveGrow, drawing a parallel to the growth of plants and the growth of love by nurturing them. What's more, you have endless options to gift green! One of the most aesthetic green gifts (and a popular decor option) is a terrarium! It's classy, elegant and adorable! Customised seed pencils (pencils with capsules containg seeds at the ends so they can be used fully and then sown and grown!), bearing the names of the bride and groom, are also a great choice! Plantable calendars (recycled paper containg seeds), saplings in customised jute grow bags and bamboo platters are just some of your green choices! So, this wedding season, go green and pick green wedding favours to give to your guests!
